Lobster Diet |

Lobster Diet is a special feed formulated
by NIWA (through 2 years of research) & processed by Ranchmans Petfood
for feeding captive crayfish (lobster) held in holding tanks. The feed
has been specifically designed to help maintain the condition in captive
lobsters. The NIWA diet is water stable, high in protein that supplies
sufficient energy to help prevent condition loss & mortality in captive
lobsters & when fed at the recommended rate has shown minimal effects on
the water quality within recirculation systems. Preliminary trials of
the diet showed that a feeding rate of 9 grams of food per kilogram of
lobsters every 3 days was sufficient to maintain condition & inhibit cannibalism in
lobsters. |
